Circumstances have been such that I have not been able to update my blog regularly-For starters my UPS is behaving very strange-it switches from mains to battery even when the power supply is on and then after some time gets discharged.This is after doing some Jimmyesque disco steps between the battery and mains for no rhyme or reason.Current status of the UPS-languishing with my dealer.Should be back in a few days.

I am really missing TV here.I was lucky to watch Tendulkar's shots off Mcgrath but also saw how Ganguly,Sehwag,Kaif threw their wickets.

But I have missed Wasim's 5 wicket haul,Fleming's 100,Rhodes' last match,Lara's hundred,Shoaib's fiery bowling,Symonds' 100...and the list goes on.I dont know when I will be able to watch these magical performances.

Today was a good day.I bowled very well to lead my team to a win against Sec.

The Indian think tank(if there is one) has finally got the right combination of openers.I did not watch SRT's innings,but I would say the bowlers should get the credit sometimes.It is not a given that the Indian batting line-up should make 340-350 just because Scott Styris makes a 100 somewhere else.The wicket could be more bowler friendly and the batters could be concentrating more on spending time at the crease than blasting their way out which they will have to against Australia.So,I would sa

Now things might change with Australia-Warney is out!!Wait for a few matches to recalculate Australia's chance in this WC.Now,they are definitely at par with India,SL,WI for a shot at the champions tag. SA will not win.

I predict an Aussie win,but my gut feeling is not very strong.So, I am giving some explanations and caveats.Since this tournament seems to be a heavy scoring one,Australia is the favourite.By chance,if pakistan win,NOBODY can stop Australia from winning the WC.Right now,on form and history,Australia will lose only to India before the finals.These pakis are so very unpredictable-if they are all out for less than 190,they will bowl out Aus. for less than 165.

Blasphemy

I missed yesterday's thriller between WI and SA.But my prediction proved true.Aravinda might have failed today.But do not discount the great man.The champion players might not end up as in the WC champion teams but all the greats who are going to retire after this WC are going to leave a mark.When I say this,I think we are at the threshold of a change in Cricketing Eras.

I have decided to boldly predict the results of the matches beforehand.Of course,most of the 'predictions' will be more from heart than my 'illustrious' cricketing brain (hahahaha-what a joke,I know).I risk losing my cricketing maryada,but then this is fun.I think even Ramanand,Gaurav,Sumeet,Samrat can also start doing this.Try predicting the resultsof some matches atleast.
