Google

Those who would be oblivious of the Machiavellian manipulations of Google and are likely to get even more impressed with Google after going through the flowery language used by Guardian (linked to, by George here )to praise Google's 'exploits' till now should also go through the Google Watch and the Google Branding Strategy.

I am not saying that Google is not a good search engine.

We will be going into the Faridabad one-dayer against Australia tomorrow with our batteries recharged after a lazy, luxurious, and therapeutic break by the sea.

Tomorrow's game will be crucial because we will have to exploit the advantage we have of having been acclimatized, while the Australians may still be a little rusty. After all, they were playing in Sydney only a week ago.

We will have to drive home this advantage tomorrow if we want to make the finals.

I had to suffer through a horrible movie in part today.My friend Raviram told me that they are screening Boys at Andhra Bhavan. I come to know that it has music by ARR and like a true devotee, I went to Andhra Bhavan to watch the movie. We decided to skip lunch since it was a bit late and we did not want to miss the movie. We were informed at Andhra Bhavan that the movie is being screened at the Indian Institute of Public Administration (IIPA) Auditorium.

There was talk that Phil Jackson has approached MJ to join LA Lakers if Kobe is unable to wrap up his court case quickly. That would be great. In this comeback,if it happens, MJ would be having a great coach, a great team and the team would actually get transformed and get worked up when he wants them to.

A bout of foolishness worse than the Shane Warne fiasco has led to this situation, which could have been easily avoided. Rio Ferdinand seems to have 'forgotten' that he had been selected,randomly, for tests when the FA authorities went to the Man. United's training session. He did not give the samples for the test then. Instead, he gave the samples 36 hours later and the results were negative.

Cricket

Just a passing thought - If they survive the first half an hour, Dravid and VVS are good enough for a 200 and a 170 each,respectively. I doubt if we can take twenty wickets in a match. I foresee a draw if my first prediction holds true.
