Sport in India

It has been debated over the years how India cares only about Cricket and all other sports are neglected. There is no money being pumped into other sports and hence India has not done well in Hockey,Athletics etc. etc.

How do you get coporates to pump in money into a game? When you are talking of corporates,you are talking of intelligent investors who are going to put money into something that is going to give them maximum returns - immediate or long-term.What would they look for,to get convinced if it is worthwhile to invest in a sport ?

1.Interest levels of people.

2.Visibility.

3.Realistic chances of success in the sport.

A detailed dissection is due.Some time late.

Sehwag : I never considered him to be a class player.Won't do it even if he scores a 200 against the Pakistani attack in th next match.So,I wouldn't have a problem with my calling for his head.

Federer ooh..aah..Ferrari..ooh..aah

Aren't we blessed to have been witness to such beauty,such brilliance,such poetry,such outlandish mastery.When you see such champions in action and then the hue and cry over the state of the Indian cricket team,you wonder why do they even bother?

The Federer Agassi match was one of the best I have seen in recent times - the level of tennis was threatening to get close to those seen only during a Sampras-Agassi match and that is a tremendous achievement.Sadly
