If the roles were reversed, I'd have surely claimed that yesterday was a turning point in the Premeiereship. Let us wait and watch if United are still the champions that I think they are and if Chel$ki have the gall to rob yet another title from SAF's grasp.

India leads the Test series 1-0 and this is where you heard it first.

There will be one 400+ score by the Indians. If the bowlers decide to do well in the same match, we may break our duck in South Africa.

I have a couple of reasons for this hunch:

The fours that SRT struck in the last ODI were vintage Tendulkar. Please don't read too much into his failures in the tour game. Players like SRT and BCL don't play on full blast during tour games.

VVS and SCG will score at some point in this series.

Rajni Saar is world famous in Japan and Manmohan Singhji is trying some sushiplomacy.

Newcastle almost pulled off a couple of points from the most hated team in the world of football - Chel$ki. It would have been fun if they had.

Michael Clarke is playing normally again and we need not see those tentative defensive prods again (hopefully, ever). The pup has clearly matured after the drop.

Interesting how he was not setting the domestic circuit on fire but as soon as he was restored to top flight Test cricket - where he belongs - he has been playing well.

Good to see him playing well today. I never liked his batting when he was in full flow but this team needs him now. Anyone who has the hunger to play irrespective the condition of the pitch, batting order, fingers, elbows...They need someone to scrap for them. They need a Keane like character. They need him to bark down the South Africans.

This team needs some stomach and I am not referring to Sehwag's ample rayeesi ki nishaani here.

Update: This post was made when he was on 29.

George Best is still having fun with all his ex-flames. It would be great if he can visit Old Trafford as well.. for old time's sake.

It has been almost an year since I last wrote about United's European campaign. I had asked a few questions then - whether SAF will stay on? Who will be the next shirt sponsor? Is the team over the hill?

Well, this season, the Red Devils have played like the true champions they are. Of all the matches that I have watched (I missed all the CL fixtures before yesterday), I can think of a total of 150 minutes where they didn't play their natural game and got punished, justifiably so.

I really want to torture these inhuman uncivilized B@$&@$ds. Wouldn't mind getting arrested for it.
