Navya prefers to watch Putbol to Kicket. She keeps screaming Putbol Putbol when I'm watching sports on TV till I switch to a channel which is showing Football. But as soon as I switch to football she starts screaming Gol Gol Gol and I have to keep reminding her that we are not watching MUTV.

The daughter has really taken a liking to the father's addiction - at a very young age. It is a vast improvement over how she views the world, compared to those days. The next match might well be a treat for Navya's eyes.

If you had any doubts, go to Tehelka and watch the sting tapes to dispel those doubts. Damn these politicians.

What do we do with them? What do we do with our society? My only grouse with these sting operations is that it is numbing the sensitivity of the society at large - now things are all out in the open and we don't bother; don't have the time to bother. So everyone has started accepting things as they are.

Just in case you didn't notice, Arse-nal is the team to beat this season and they are playing vintage football. I think they are a much better team after they got rid of Henry. Henry was doing to Arsenal what Gerrard is doing to Liverpool - over-dependence on one player is never good and doesn't let the team grow.

The tragedy is that this is yet another instance of we Indians opting to remain in a state of denial about what plagues us as a society. Discrimination is so badly ingrained in our society that what Symonds had to undergo is actually very mild compared to what some sections of our society have to undergo day in, day out.

I'm back in India after three weeks in the US of A and the UK. Never did I imagine that I'd come back to read articles discussing whether Dhoni should drop Dravid for the last ODI match or not? Before the start of the Lords' Test, the debate was around Dhoni's place in the side and within two months, it is the same discussion with the players exchanging places.

This is what I am driving for the next two weeks - the Chrysler PT Cruiser.
